About Us
The Waterloo Region Nordic Sports Club is a not-for-profit corporation providing programs and opportunities for youth and adults to learn and enjoy cross country skiing.
Located in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in Southwestern Ontario, we serve the communities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. Members have also come from surrounding municipalities, including Brantford, Woodstock and Guelph. During the fall, we provide dryland training for adults and youth at various locations in Waterloo, including Bechtel Park and Waterloo Park. From January to March, we provide on-snow training and instructions for youth and adults at Bechtel Park and Camp Heidelberg.
Our club also participates in races and loppets (a mass participation event for all ages) in Ontario. We also organize ski trips and tours for all members.
The Waterloo Region Nordic Sports Club is a member of Cross Country Canada and receives support from the City of Kitchener, the City of Waterloo, and the Optimist Club of Kitchener-Waterloo, as well as other sponsors and supporters.
