Bechtel Park Trail Updates

February 11, 2012

It has been a while, but Dave packed the 7-8 cm of snow Saturday afternoon. The fields were almost stripped bare from the wind but the woods were fine and are skiable with of course your rock skis. Enjoy the snow while it is here.

Cheers, Dave and Stephan

Well, we finally have a little snow for now. Dave packed the tennis court loops and the stadiums for skating. He tried to put a track in but the tracks exposed the grass quickly, so the track setting was abandoned. You should be able to ski on the packed surfaces, especially skating. The woods are fine, but avoid the uphill by the cemetery as the gravel comes through. Enjoy the skiing.

Cheers.

March 25/11 - I could not resist and I bet you cannot either. I groomed the soccer field and the tennis court loop (both classic and skating) and it looked terrific in the sun set. I groomed the woods too, but the classic track is intermittent. Skating would be better. Go ski, as you wlil think to be in BC powder, especially in the mornings.

Cheers, Stephan

February 23/11 - I renovated the big soccer field, the service road loop and a two-way path along the baseball diamond to our storage shed. Afterwards, I treated myself to some terrific skate skiing. The woods are a little rough and require a little courage, but the groomed parts are great..enjoy the sunshine.

Cheers, Stephan

February 21/11 - The trails have been packed and groomed for skating. The conditions are only fair with grassy sections in the tennis court loop and icy sections in the woods. The back hill is also VERY thin. Have a great family Day!
