Since you also have trails and rentals available right on the spot, you can even try equipment. If you drive up to Duntroon just for buying equipment, call ahead to verify availability and selection; the shop opens on the weekend starting with Thanksgiving, and opens daily once the snow has arrived.

Their selection and service is outstanding and the knowledgeable staff make the drive to the Beaches in Toronto worthwhile.
