Ski Club Event, January 27, 2008

The WRNSC, in partnership with the Grand Valley Trails Association (GVTA), has a comfortable coach bus trip to Highlands Nordic Cross-Country Ski Resort (just south of Collingwood) on Sunday January 27, 2008. Highlands Nordic has 22 km of excellent groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing, designed to provide skiers of all skill levels with a memorable experience. The snow conditions are supreme, due to the snowsquall activity coming off of Georgian Bay. The facility also provides equipment rentals, a waxing hut, change rooms and a full-service cafeteria featuring tasty meals and snacks (the date squares are a meal in themselves).

In order to register, please contact the WRNSC, at 519-880-1719, by Friday January 11. A minimum of 35 participants is required, and we need to know exact numbers in order to confirm booking of the chartered bus.

The trip cost for club members includes bus fare and ski trail fees: Adults - $30; Youths - $20; Children 6 and under - $10.  The fee for non-members is $42.
The fee is non-refundable, unless the trip is cancelled.

Make your cheque payable to the Waterloo Region Nordic Sports Club, and mail it to the WRNSC, P.O. Box 40031, Waterloo, ON, N2J 4V1.
It is important that we receive your payment by Friday January 18. Please include a note listing the names of participants.

There will be two pick-up points:

In Kitchener - Departs at 7:45 am from the Holiday Inn, 30 Fairway Road South. The bus will be an Ayr Coach Line. Park at the far side of the lot closest to King Street. You will need to provide your licence plate # to either Georgia or Charles (leaders from the GVTA).

In Waterloo - Departs at 8:15 am from Conestoga Mall. Park as far away from the mall building as possible. The Ayr Coach bus will be parked near the GRT bus shelters.

The approximate arrival time back to Kitchener-Waterloo is 6 pm.

So make the most of winter and come join us for a great day of superb cross-country skiing, scenic trails and shared experiences.
